School Badge
CROWN
This is an adaptation of the crown used by the RAF and appears in Squadron badges. It also represents the Royal visits the school has had in the past 70 years.
CROSS
This represents our status as a Church of England School. It is adapted from the original design, used in previous badges, and recreated to represent the Cross found in Welton St Mary's Church.
FLEUR-DE-LIS
This is taken from the Lincolnshire and Lincoln Crest.
WINGS
The wings echo back to part of the Bomber Command's logo. The logo represents the Bomber Command and the squadrons based at RAF Dunholme Lodge during World War II, from which Reverend William Farr purchased the land to build what we now know as William Farr (C of E) Comprehensive School.
MOTTO
The ribbon features the long-standing 'Striving for Excellence' motto.
STRIPES/BANDS (BENDS)
These mirror the stripes in the previous school badge and signify defence or protection.
